CAREY PARK CHRISTIAN CAMP
Carey Park is situated at the foot of the Waitakere Ranges heritage area in Henderson Valley just 30 minutes from central Auckland. Magnificent native bush surrounds it, and is the ideal place for large groups, with 170 bed accommodation, catering and activities.
Carey Park Christian Camp is available for groups to hire seven days a week. The buildings are spacious and comfortable, being set alongside beautiful native bush and bordering Opanuku Stream. We offer a wide range of activities, from those specifically designed with educational outcomes in mind, through to sporting and physical challenges! Try out our rock-climbing wall or fly down our thrilling 200m long, 9m high flying fox.
The food is appetising and the staff are very willing to assist you in having an enjoyable community experience. You won’t find a more comfortable, professional, organised and convenient camp to accomplish your goals. EDUCATION OUTSIDE THE CLASSROOM, AKO I WAHO I TE KURA
We strive to ensure that all school groups coming to camp meet the Ministry of Education’s goal for achieving quality educational outcomes. We do this by using the Ministry of Education’s EOTC guidelines.
Whilst on camp there are a variety of brilliant activities which will transform any gathering into an interactive, exciting experience. Develop team bonding through interactive challenges or just have some fun. Have a browse through our range of options and pick the ones to make your camp a memorable one.
We split activities into group lead ones and staff instructed ones. Our staff will give a safety briefing to adults who will lead activities. With instructed activities to ensure safe outcomes for our guests, our staff will run and supervise them.
Our activities are located in park grounds and native bush, so there is plenty of space for your group to take part in adventure, challenge and risk suitable for all ages and skill sets. Our activities undergo an annual independent audit to ensure that we provide them in the safest possible manner, meeting the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Where required, they register us with WorkSafeNZ under the Adventure Activity Regulations 2016.

MAKING A BOOKING, TE TAHA REHITA
At One Big Adventure we are experts at hosting school camps, family reunions, community events, corporate events and everything in between.
STEP 1 Complete the One Big Adventure enquiry form and submit.
STEP 2 Confirm your plans with us and we will send you a deposit invoice.
STEP 3 If you want to secure your booking, pay your deposit within 21 days.
STEP 4 We will confirm your booking after you pay your deposit.
STEP 5 Use the Group Guest Self Service online portal. Upload your people, program, dietary ready for camp.
FACILITIES, WĀHI
CAREY PARK
Ideal for any school, community group, family church group, sports club, association or organisation. We have a range of facilities and resources to make your meetings, conferences, presentations and events a success. There are small meeting rooms to large dining/conference area that can change to suit your requirements. Our resources are available for you to use. We have 170 beds in shared space bunk rooms.
CATERING, TE TAHA KAI
We are renowned for our healthy and delicious food. Our chefs will prepare healthy, balanced and nutritious meals for your stay. We can provide at additional cost gluten-free or dairy free or vegan dietary requirements. If your group is going out from camp, we can provide a packed lunch in place of your regular lunch.

If you wish to change these to suit your needs, have a chat with bookings. Please note that your first catered meal is dinner. Please ensure that if you are arriving before lunch that your group has a meal with them.
CAMPER’S KITCHEN, KIHINI
Next to the dining area is our campers’ kitchen. We made this facility available to camp groups 24 / 7 to make tea, coffee. There is also a fridge freezer and microwave available for your use.
ALLERGIES, NGĀ TAKE HAUORA
We only need to be aware of life-threatening allergies, so that we can take steps to reduce the risks. We cannot guarantee the absolute removal of all traces of any allergy inducing items. If you are unsure of any meals being provided, talk to us. There may be other options.
LOUNGE, RŪMA POUAKO
The small lounge has comfortable seats, and TV. It provides a chill out space and somewhere to relax. You can also keep in touch with free Wi-Fi Internet.
GYMNASIUM, WHARE HĀKINAKINA
The gymnasium offers a large open room to hold indoor activities. It also holds our climbing wall and crate stacking. This area offers all the games and activities associated with indoor gymnasiums and recreation rooms.
BATHROOMS, WHAREPAKU
There are separate male and female bathroom facilities with hot showers, hand basins and toilets. There are specific adult toilets / shower areas for your group as well.
LAUNDRY, RŪMA HOROI KĀKAHU
A laundry is also available for your use. The equipment is coin-operated $2 per wash and $4 per dry.
DINING ROOM, WHARE KAI
The large dining room accommodates a full camp in one sitting. We furnish it with trestle tables and chairs. The room can be also be used to hold any events, activities, presentations and conferences, with projector, screen and PA equipment if needed.
SLEEPING, RŪMA MOE
We have ten upstairs cabins, which sleep ten people in each room, and five downstairs bunkrooms, each sleeping fourteen people per room. All rooms have a heater. There are four bathrooms, two upstairs and two downstairs.
SIDE ROOMS, NGĀ RŪMA TAE
Our side rooms are located off the gymnasium. Use these for either specific activities or as venues for workshops. There are four rooms in total.
ENVIRONMENT, TAIAO
We try to recycle as much as possible. Place all plastic, metal, glass, paper and card in the correct bins. Respect the natural surroundings of our camps, leave nothing behind and cause no damage, so that others can experience the same natural beauty. We have designated smoking / vaping areas at camp.
